Irshalgad may have been under the Maratha rule when Shivaji Maharaj captured the regions of Kalyan and Bhiwandi up to Rairi in May 1666. Famous for its noticeable pinnacle, Irshalgad is the sister fort of Prabalgad fort. The nearest village is Irshalwadi. The villagers extend whole-hearted guidance and offer warm hospitality to all the tourists visiting this place. While the fort is not as massive as the other forts on the neighboring hills, it does add significance in terms of height.
