Ujjain is one of the Sapta Puri (seven sacred cities of India) and holds immense spiritual importance in Hinduism. The city is home to the revered Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. The temple is famous for its powerful spiritual energy and the unique Bhasma Aarti, an ancient ritual that attracts thousands of devotees every day.
This backpacking road trip also includes a visit to Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga, another sacred Shiva shrine located on an island in the Narmada River. The island is naturally shaped like the holy Hindu symbol “Om”, making it one of the most important pilgrimage destinations in India.
During the journey, participants will also visit important temples in Ujjain such as Kal Bhairav Temple and Har Siddhi Mata Temple, along with a short exploration of Indore city if time permits.
This spiritual road trip is designed for devotees and travelers who want to experience the divine atmosphere of Ujjain and Omkareshwar while enjoying a comfortable group journey with Adventure Club Pune.
