Safety & Risk Awareness
Participant safety is the highest priority at Adventure Club Pune. The Ladakh expedition is conducted with experienced drivers, tour coordinators, planned transportation, route monitoring and basic emergency preparedness.
Ladakh involves high-altitude road travel where participants may encounter low oxygen levels, steep mountain roads, sharp bends, rough terrain, cold temperatures, sudden weather changes, snowfall, landslides and limited access to medical facilities.
All participants must follow the instructions of the tour manager, driver and local support team. Safety-related decisions taken by the operating team shall be final and binding.
Rules & Regulations
- Consumption of alcohol, smoking or any intoxicating substances during the tour is strictly prohibited.
- Participants must respect Ladakh's local culture, monasteries, villages, wildlife and fellow travellers.
- Littering is strictly prohibited. Carry back all non-biodegradable waste.
- Loud music, shouting or creating disturbances at monasteries, camps, hotels, villages or sightseeing locations is not permitted.
- Participants must follow the instructions of the tour manager and driver, particularly during high-altitude travel and sightseeing.
- Participants must exercise caution while walking around mountain viewpoints, lakesides, monasteries and other natural areas.
- Any misconduct, harassment, abusive behaviour or actions affecting other participants may result in removal from the tour without refund.
- Adventure Club Pune provides basic first aid and emergency coordination; medical treatment, evacuation, hospitalization or transportation expenses shall be borne by the participant.
- Participants are advised not to carry expensive jewellery or unnecessary valuables. Adventure Club Pune will not be responsible for loss, theft or damage.
- Damaging monastery property, hotel/camp property, local property or disturbing wildlife is strictly prohibited.
- Travel and medical insurance covering high-altitude travel is strongly recommended.
- The booking amount is non-refundable if cancelled by the participant unless covered under the official cancellation policy.
- Every group tour operates with a minimum of 12 confirmed participants. If the minimum number is not achieved, Adventure Club Pune may offer an alternate departure, reschedule the tour or provide a refund as applicable.
- Accommodation in remote areas such as Nubra and Pangong may have basic facilities and should not be compared with city hotels.
- Breakfast and dinner provided during the tour will be simple and suitable for travel conditions.
- A dedicated WhatsApp coordination group may be created approximately 24–48 hours before departure for important updates and coordination.
- The itinerary may change due to weather, snowfall, landslides, road closures, government regulations, medical emergencies or other unavoidable circumstances.

Travel & Medical Insurance
Participants are strongly encouraged to obtain comprehensive travel, medical and personal accident insurance covering high-altitude travel before joining the Ladakh tour.
Unless specifically mentioned under inclusions, Adventure Club Pune does not provide individual insurance coverage.
Any expenses relating to medical treatment, evacuation, hospitalization, transportation, insurance claims or personal emergencies shall be borne by the participant and/or their insurer.
Weather, Natural Conditions & Force Majeure
