Important Notes

• Ladakh is a high-altitude destination. Proper acclimatization after arrival in Leh is essential. Avoid strenuous activities on the first day.
• Travellers may experience symptoms such as headache, dizziness, nausea or breathlessness due to altitude. Inform the tour manager immediately if you feel unwell.
• Weather in Ladakh can change rapidly. Carry warm clothing and rain protection throughout the tour.
• Road journeys involve high-altitude mountain terrain, winding roads and remote stretches. Follow the instructions of the driver and tour manager.
• Mobile network and internet connectivity may be limited or unavailable in several areas, particularly Nubra and Pangong.
• Charging facilities may be limited at camps and guest houses. Carry a fully charged power bank.
• Respect monasteries, local traditions, villages, wildlife and the fragile Himalayan environment.
• Carry sufficient personal medicines and prescribed medication throughout the journey.
• The itinerary may be changed due to weather, road conditions, government regulations, local restrictions or participant safety.

Safety & Risk Awareness

Participant safety is the highest priority at Adventure Club Pune. The Ladakh expedition is conducted with experienced drivers, tour coordinators, planned transportation, route monitoring and basic emergency preparedness.

Ladakh involves high-altitude road travel where participants may encounter low oxygen levels, steep mountain roads, sharp bends, rough terrain, cold temperatures, sudden weather changes, snowfall, landslides and limited access to medical facilities.

All participants must follow the instructions of the tour manager, driver and local support team. Safety-related decisions taken by the operating team shall be final and binding.

Rules & Regulations

• Consumption of alcohol, smoking or any intoxicating substances during the tour is strictly prohibited.
• Participants must respect Ladakh's local culture, monasteries, villages, wildlife and fellow travellers.
• Littering is strictly prohibited. Carry back all non-biodegradable waste.
• Loud music, shouting or creating disturbances at monasteries, camps, hotels, villages or sightseeing locations is not permitted.
• Participants must follow the instructions of the tour manager and driver, particularly during high-altitude travel and sightseeing.
• Participants must exercise caution while walking around mountain viewpoints, lakesides, monasteries and other natural areas.
• Any misconduct, harassment, abusive behaviour or actions affecting other participants may result in removal from the tour without refund.
• Adventure Club Pune provides basic first aid and emergency coordination; medical treatment, evacuation, hospitalization or transportation expenses shall be borne by the participant.
• Participants are advised not to carry expensive jewellery or unnecessary valuables. Adventure Club Pune will not be responsible for loss, theft or damage.
• Damaging monastery property, hotel/camp property, local property or disturbing wildlife is strictly prohibited.
• Travel and medical insurance covering high-altitude travel is strongly recommended.
• The booking amount is non-refundable if cancelled by the participant unless covered under the official cancellation policy.
• Every group tour operates with a minimum of 12 confirmed participants. If the minimum number is not achieved, Adventure Club Pune may offer an alternate departure, reschedule the tour or provide a refund as applicable.
• Accommodation in remote areas such as Nubra and Pangong may have basic facilities and should not be compared with city hotels.
• Breakfast and dinner provided during the tour will be simple and suitable for travel conditions.
• A dedicated WhatsApp coordination group may be created approximately 24–48 hours before departure for important updates and coordination.
• The itinerary may change due to weather, snowfall, landslides, road closures, government regulations, medical emergencies or other unavoidable circumstances.
• By registering for the tour, participants confirm that they have read, understood and agreed to the Adventure Club Pune Terms & Conditions.

Health & Fitness Declaration

By registering for this Ladakh tour, participants confirm that:

• They are voluntarily participating in the tour.
• They are physically and mentally fit for high-altitude travel.
• They will disclose any existing medical condition, allergy, injury or medication requirement before the tour.
• They understand that travelling at high altitude may cause altitude-related health problems.
• They will immediately inform the tour manager or driver if they experience any health-related symptoms.

Participant Consent & Assumption of Risk

Participation in this Ladakh tour is entirely voluntary.

Adventure Club Pune undertakes reasonable measures to conduct the tour safely through experienced drivers, tour coordination, route planning and basic emergency preparedness.

However, high-altitude travel involves inherent risks including:

• Altitude-related illness
• Road accidents or vehicle-related incidents
• Steep and winding mountain roads
• Sudden weather changes
• Snowfall, landslides and road closures
• Cold temperatures
• Delayed access to medical facilities
• Natural events beyond human control

By booking and participating in this tour, participants acknowledge these risks and voluntarily assume responsibility for their participation.

Adventure Club Pune shall not be liable for incidents arising from:

• Failure to follow tour manager or driver instructions
• Concealment of medical conditions
• Negligent or reckless actions by participants
• Altitude-related complications
• Natural events beyond reasonable control
• Violation of tour guidelines

Nothing in this declaration shall limit liability arising from proven gross negligence or willful misconduct on the part of the organizer.

Travel & Medical Insurance

Participants are strongly encouraged to obtain comprehensive travel, medical and personal accident insurance covering high-altitude travel before joining the Ladakh tour.

Unless specifically mentioned under inclusions, Adventure Club Pune does not provide individual insurance coverage.

Any expenses relating to medical treatment, evacuation, hospitalization, transportation, insurance claims or personal emergencies shall be borne by the participant and/or their insurer.

Weather, Natural Conditions & Force Majeure

Adventure Club Pune reserves the right to modify, reroute, reschedule, postpone or cancel the tour in the interest of participant safety.
