Rules & Regulations
- Participants must carry a valid Government-issued photo ID (Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Passport, Driving License, etc.) during the entire trek.
- Trekking in the Himalayas involves high-altitude terrain, unpredictable weather, and physically demanding conditions. Participants are expected to understand and accept these risks before booking.
- Consumption of alcohol, smoking, tobacco products, narcotics, or any intoxicating substances is strictly prohibited throughout the trek. Anyone found violating this rule will be removed from the trek without any refund.
- Participants must follow the instructions of the trek leader, local guides, and support staff at all times. The trek leader's decision regarding safety, route changes, and trek management will be final and binding.
- Any participant suffering from asthma, heart disease, epilepsy, severe hypertension, recent surgeries, or other serious medical conditions must consult a doctor before registering and inform the organizers in advance.
- Participants should disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or medications before the trek begins. Concealing medical information may result in denial of participation without refund.
- Maintaining discipline and team spirit is mandatory. Misbehavior, harassment, abusive language, violence, or actions affecting the safety of the group will result in immediate removal from the trek.
- Littering is strictly prohibited. Participants must follow the Leave No Trace policy and help preserve the fragile Himalayan ecosystem.
- A dedicated Adventure Club Pune trek leader will accompany the group from Pune if there are a minimum of 10 confirmed participants; for smaller groups, all travel, accommodation, permits, and trek arrangements will be managed by Adventure Club Pune, and the trek leader will join the group at Rishikesh to conduct the trek.
- Respect local culture, traditions, religious sites, and local communities throughout the journey.
- Mobile network connectivity may be limited or unavailable in several sections of the trek. Participants should inform family members accordingly before departure.
- Weather conditions in the Himalayas can change rapidly. The itinerary, route, accommodation, or schedule may be modified by the trek leader for safety reasons without prior notice.
- In case of landslides, roadblocks, snowfall, heavy rainfall, natural calamities, government restrictions, or any force majeure situation, additional expenses arising due to extended stay, evacuation, transportation, or accommodation shall be borne by the participant.
- Adventure Club Pune provides basic first-aid support and trained trek leaders; however, participants are personally responsible for their fitness, health, and safety during the trek.
- Any costs incurred due to emergency evacuation, hospitalization, rescue operations, helicopter evacuation, medical treatment, or additional transportation will be borne by the participant.
- Participants are advised not to carry expensive jewelry, valuables, or unnecessary electronic gadgets. Adventure Club Pune shall not be responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings.
- Trekking shoes with proper grip, rain protection, warm clothing, and all mandatory items mentioned in the Things to Carry section are compulsory. Participants may be denied participation if found inadequately equipped.
- The trek operates on a minimum group size. If the minimum required participants are not achieved, Adventure Club Pune reserves the right to reschedule the batch, offer an alternate trek, or provide a refund.
- Accommodation during the trek will be provided on triple-sharing, dormitory, guesthouse, homestay, or hotel basis as per availability and itinerary.
- All meals provided during the trek will be simple vegetarian meals prepared considering high-altitude trekking requirements.
- A WhatsApp coordination group will be created 24–48 hours before departure for sharing final instructions, reporting times, emergency contacts, and trek updates.
- By booking the trek, participants acknowledge that adventure activities involve inherent risks and voluntarily accept responsibility for participation.
- Registration for the trek confirms that the participant has read, understood, and agreed to all terms, conditions, policies, and safety guidelines of Adventure Club Pune.
