Located amidst the scenic Sahyadri ranges of Maharashtra, Purandar Fort is a historically significant fort offering a rewarding combination of trekking, heritage exploration, and breathtaking mountain views. The fort stands as an important part of Maharashtra's rich Maratha history and provides visitors with an opportunity to experience both its natural and historical significance.

The journey begins from Pune with an early morning departure towards the base village of Purandar. After reaching the base village, participants will have breakfast before receiving a detailed trek briefing from the trek leaders. From the base village, the group will proceed by vehicle towards the designated fort parking area.

At the army checking point, participants may be required to present a valid Government Photo ID for verification. Once the necessary checking is completed, the group will begin exploring the fort and its important historical locations, including Shri Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Vandan Sthal and nearby temples.

The trek then continues with an uphill hike towards the Balekilla, the highest section of Purandar Fort. Participants can explore the fort's historic surroundings while enjoying panoramic views of the valleys and Sahyadri mountain ranges.

After completing the fort exploration, the group will return towards the parking area and proceed by vehicle to the base village for lunch. The return journey towards Pune will begin in the afternoon, with the expected arrival depending on traffic, road conditions, and prevailing weather.
