Experience fireflies in one of the most unique locations near Lonavala and Rajmachi.
Unlike regular fireflies destinations, Rajmachi offers an adventurous journey itself before the actual experience begins. The route includes approximately 18 km of rough off-road terrain through forests and mountain surroundings where regular cars with low ground clearance generally cannot reach.
To ensure a comfortable experience, Adventure Club Pune arranges shared off-road vehicles such as Sumo and Bolero vehicles specially suitable for this terrain, creating a jungle safari-style experience before reaching the base village.
After reaching the village, experience guided fireflies exploration surrounded by forests, mountains, and peaceful village atmosphere.
Participants can choose between two experience options:
- Night Trail Experience: Fireflies trail followed by return to Lonavala during the night
- Night Trail with Village Stay Experience: Fireflies trail, overnight village stay, optional Rajmachi Fort trek, breakfast, and return to Lonavala the next morning
Both experiences are available at the same cost.

Option 1 – Fireflies Night Trail Return
- 11:00 PM — Reach Lonavala and begin off-road safari towards Rajmachi base village
- 12:15 AM — Reach base village and short briefing session
- 12:30 AM – 03:00 AM — Guided fireflies observation experience and explore surrounding forest region
- 03:15 AM — Return to village
- 04:00 AM — Begin return journey towards Lonavala
- 05:00 AM – 05:30 AM — Reach Lonavala

- Rajmachi route includes approximately 18 km of rough off-road terrain.

RULES & REGULATIONS
- Silence must be maintained during firefly spotting. No flash photography or loud noise allowed.
- Music will be switched off at the campsite as per local rules and schedule.
- Respect locals, nature, fellow campers, and surrounding property.
- Participants must follow all instructions given by trek leader / coordinator.
- Camp or stay property damage caused by participants will be chargeable.
- Firefly sightings depend on weather and seasonal conditions. No refund for non-sightings.
- Throwing garbage on trails or campsite area is strictly prohibited.
- Transport package batches require a minimum of 12 participants for confirmation; if not achieved, participants will be offered an alternative trip with fare adjustment, rescheduling option, or full refund.
- Playing loud music in mountains, forest areas, or villages is not allowed.
- Trek Leader’s decision in any situation will be final.
- Misbehaviour may lead to trip termination without refund.
- Medical emergencies or treatment costs shall be borne by participant.
- Alcohol, drugs, or intoxicating substances are strictly prohibited.
- Organisers reserve the right to change itinerary for safety or operational reasons.
