The Savatkada Waterfall Trek is an exciting monsoon adventure through an unexplored jungle in the Sahyadris. The trail takes you deep into the forest, where the sound of flowing streams and waterfalls accompanies you throughout the journey.

The trek involves approximately 6 km of jungle walking and is best experienced during the monsoon season, when the forest comes alive with greenery and seasonal waterfalls.

  • The trek involves approximately 6 km of jungle walking through forest trails, streams, rocky sections, and monsoon terrain.
  • During the monsoon, the trail can become slippery. Proper trekking shoes with good grip are mandatory.
  • Water levels at the waterfall and streams can increase significantly during heavy rainfall. Participants must strictly follow the instructions of the Trek Leader.
  • Entry to the actual base of Savatkada Waterfall depends on water levels and Forest Department permissions.
  • During heavy water flow, access may be restricted up to the previous viewpoint for participant safety.
  • The waterfall experience depends on rainfall and natural conditions and cannot be guaranteed.
  • Mobile network may be weak or unavailable at certain sections of the trail.
  • Charging facilities may not be available during the trek. Carry a fully charged phone and power bank.
  • Carry sufficient drinking water, rain protection, extra clothes, and personal medicines.
  • Avoid carrying unnecessary valuables or expensive electronic equipment.
  • Respect the forest, wildlife, local communities, and natural surroundings.
  • Do not litter anywhere along the trail or at the waterfall.

Safety & Risk Awareness

  • At Adventure Club Pune, participant safety is our highest priority. The Savatkada Waterfall Trek is conducted with experienced Trek Leaders, local guides, basic first-aid support, and proper group coordination.
  • The trek takes place during the monsoon season and involves jungle trails, slippery rocks, streams, uneven terrain, waterfalls, and changing water levels. Natural conditions can change rapidly, particularly during heavy rainfall.
  • Participants must understand that waterfall and monsoon trekking involves inherent outdoor risks, including slips, falls, injuries, sudden water flow, slippery terrain, and delayed access to medical assistance.
  • All participants are expected to follow the instructions of the Trek Leader and local guide throughout the event.

Rules & Regulations

  • Consumption of alcohol, smoking, or any intoxicating substance is strictly prohibited during the trek. Any participant found under the influence may be removed from the event without refund.
  • Participants must respect the forest, wildlife, local villages, natural surroundings, and fellow trekkers at all times.
  • Littering is strictly prohibited. Participants must carry their waste back and dispose of it responsibly.
  • Loud music, shouting, or creating disturbances in forest areas, villages, or near the waterfall is not permitted.
  • Participants must strictly follow the instructions and decisions of the Trek Leader and local guide. Their decision regarding safety, waterfall access, route, and itinerary shall be final.
  • The trek includes slippery, rocky, muddy, and uneven sections, especially during the monsoon. Participants must walk carefully and use appropriate trekking footwear.
  • Entering the waterfall or water bodies is permitted only if declared safe by the Trek Leader. Participants must never enter areas with strong water currents or restricted access.
  • Jumping into deep water, standing directly below strong waterfall flow, or attempting risky photography is strictly prohibited.
  • Any misconduct, harassment, abusive behaviour, argument, or behaviour affecting the safety or comfort of other participants or staff may result in immediate removal from the event without refund.
  • Adventure Club Pune provides basic first-aid support. Any medical treatment, emergency transportation, evacuation, or other medical expenses arising during the event shall be borne by the participant.
  • Participants are advised not to carry expensive jewellery, ornaments, or unnecessary valuables. Adventure Club Pune will not be responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings.
  • Damaging forest property, village property, plants, or natural surroundings, or disturbing wildlife, is strictly prohibited.
  • The booking amount is non-refundable if cancelled by the participant, subject to the applicable Adventure Club Pune Cancellation Policy.
  • Every event operates with a minimum of 12 confirmed participants. If the minimum number is not achieved, Adventure Club Pune may offer an alternate event, reschedule the batch, or provide a refund as applicable.
  • Meals served during the event will be simple, freshly prepared, vegetarian meals as mentioned in the inclusions.
  • A dedicated WhatsApp coordination group may be created before departure for sharing pickup details, updates, and on-ground communication.
  • Pickup points and timings may be changed by Adventure Club Pune due to traffic, vehicle issues, operational requirements, or other unforeseen circumstances. Participants will be informed whenever possible.
  • The itinerary and schedule are subject to change depending on weather conditions, rainfall, water levels, roadblocks, Forest Department restrictions, safety concerns, or other unavoidable circumstances.
  • By registering for this event, participants confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to the Terms & Conditions and policies of Adventure Club Pune.

Health & Fitness Declaration

By registering for the Savatkada Waterfall Trek, participants confirm that:

  • They are voluntarily participating in the trek.
  • They are physically and mentally fit for a monsoon jungle trek involving approximately 6 km of walking.
  • They will inform the Adventure Club Pune team about any existing medical condition, allergy, injury, or medication requirement that may affect their participation.
  • They understand that monsoon trekking involves slippery trails, uneven terrain, stream crossings, and changing weather conditions.
  • They agree to follow the instructions of the Trek Leader throughout the event.

Participant Consent & Assumption of Risk

Participation in the Savatkada Waterfall Trek is entirely voluntary.

Adventure Club Pune takes reasonable measures to conduct the trek safely through experienced Trek Leaders, local guides, proper coordination, first-aid support, and safety instructions.

However, monsoon jungle and waterfall trekking involves inherent natural risks that cannot be completely eliminated, including but not limited to:

  • Slips, trips, and falls
  • Slippery rocks and muddy trails
  • Minor or major injuries
  • Stream and water crossings
  • Sudden increase in water flow
  • Heavy rainfall
  • Falling rocks or branches
  • Uneven and rocky terrain
  • Delayed access to medical assistance
  • Other natural hazards beyond human control

By booking and participating in this trek, participants acknowledge these inherent risks and voluntarily assume responsibility for their participation.

Adventure Club Pune shall not be liable for incidents arising from:

  • Failure to follow Trek Leader instructions
  • Reckless or unsafe actions by participants
  • Concealment of medical conditions
  • Entering restricted or unsafe areas
  • Ignoring safety instructions regarding water or waterfall access
  • Natural events beyond reasonable control
  • Violation of trek rules and guidelines

Nothing in this declaration shall limit liability arising from proven gross negligence or willful misconduct on the part of the organizer.


Travel & Medical Insurance

Participants are strongly encouraged to obtain suitable travel, medical, and personal accident insurance before participating in the trek.

Unless specifically mentioned under inclusions, Adventure Club Pune does not provide individual insurance coverage.

Any expenses relating to medical treatment, emergency transportation, evacuation, hospitalization, or personal emergencies shall be borne by the participant and/or their insurer.


Weather, Water Conditions & Force Majeure

Savatkada Waterfall is a natural monsoon destination, and water levels can change rapidly depending on rainfall.

Adventure Club Pune reserves the right to modify, restrict, reroute, postpone, reschedule, or cancel any part of the trek in the interest of participant safety.

Such situations may arise due to:

  • Heavy Rainfall
  • High Water Levels
  • Strong Water Current
  • Flooding
  • Landslides
  • Roadblocks
  • Forest Department Restrictions
  • Government Restrictions
  • Vehicle Breakdown
  • Natural Calamities
  • Medical Emergencies
  • Any Other Unavoidable Circumstances

If access to the actual waterfall base is restricted, the group may be taken only up to a safe viewpoint or permitted section of the trail.

The organizer's decision in such situations shall be final.
