Itinerary

• 06:00 AM onwards: Continue journey towards Junnar.
• 08:45 AM: Reach Junnar.
• 09:00 AM – 09:30 AM: Breakfast stop at Junnar and final preparations for the fort visit.
• 09:30 AM: Begin the drive towards Shivneri Fort parking area.
• 10:00 AM: Reach Shivneri Fort parking area and begin the guided ascent towards the fort.
• 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM: Walk through the historic approach of Shivneri Fort and explore the fortification gates and surrounding landscape.
• 11:00 AM: Reach the main fort area.
• 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM: Explore the important historical attractions of Shivneri Fort, including the birthplace memorial of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Shivai Devi Temple, Badami Talav, fortification structures, and other significant locations.
• Enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding Junnar region and take time for photography, historical exploration, and nature observation.
• 12:30 PM – 01:00 PM: Complete fort exploration and begin the descent towards the parking area.
• 01:00 PM – 02:00 PM: Descend towards Shivneri Fort parking area.
• 02:00 PM: Reach the parking area.
• 02:00 PM onwards: Freshen up, relax, and enjoy the available lunch/meal break at the base area.
• After lunch: Begin the return journey towards Pune.
• Expected arrival in Pune: Depending on traffic, weather, road conditions, and other unavoidable circumstances.
• The above timings are approximate and may vary depending on trekking pace, group coordination, weather conditions, road conditions, traffic, fort access, and other operational circumstances.
• Access to certain trail sections, fort areas, viewpoints, temples, or historical structures may be subject to weather conditions, local instructions, crowd conditions, safety considerations, or other unavoidable circumstances.
• The decision of the trek leader regarding route selection, turnaround points, restricted areas, activity participation, and overall safety management shall be final and binding for all participants.

Important Notes

• Participants must report at their pickup point at least 10 minutes before departure.
• Base-to-base participants must reach Junnar by 08:45 AM.
• Carry at least 2 litres of drinking water.
• Wear proper trekking shoes with good grip.
• Avoid carrying unnecessary valuables.
• Keep the fort and surrounding areas clean.
• Do not litter plastic, food wrappers or other waste.
• Follow the instructions of the trek leader and guide throughout the activity.
• The fort is a protected historical site; participants must not damage, climb on or disturb heritage structures.
• Weather conditions can affect the walking surface, especially during monsoon.
• The itinerary may be modified due to weather, traffic, crowd conditions, local restrictions or safety requirements.

Safety & Risk Awareness

Shivneri involves walking on stone steps, uneven surfaces and rocky fort pathways. During monsoon, steps and rocks may become slippery. Participants must maintain a safe distance from exposed edges and steep sections. Do not attempt shortcuts or leave the designated route. Do not run on steps or slippery surfaces. Stay with the group and do not move ahead without informing the trek leader. Photography must be done only from safe and stable locations. Follow all instructions regarding restricted or unsafe areas. Participants are responsible for taking reasonable care of their personal belongings. Any medical, emergency treatment, hospitalization or evacuation expenses shall be borne by the participant.

Rules And Regulations

• Consumption of alcohol, smoking, or any kind of intoxicants is strictly prohibited during the event; if found under the influence, the participant will be immediately removed from the group without any refund or further participation.
• All participants must respect nature and local surroundings; littering or leaving behind plastic, wrappers, or waste materials is strictly forbidden and may result in penalties or denial of future participation.
• Loud music, shouting, or causing disturbance around the fort, temples, villages, forest areas, or public spaces is not allowed.
• Participants must respect Sondai Devi Temple and local religious and cultural practices.
• Participants must follow the instructions and decisions of the trek leader or guide at all times; their decision will be final in matters related to safety, discipline, and group coordination.
• Participants must remain with the designated group and should not leave the trekking route without informing the trek leader.
• Certain sections of the trek may involve rocky, steep, or slippery terrain; participants are expected to walk carefully and wear proper trekking shoes.
• Any form of misconduct, argument, harassment, or behavior that causes harm, inconvenience, or discomfort to fellow trekkers, staff, or local residents will result in immediate removal from the event without refund.
• Adventure Club Pune ensures basic safety measures and first-aid support, but in case of injury, illness, accident, or emergency, all expenses including medical treatment, evacuation, or transportation will be borne by the participant.
• Participants are advised not to carry unnecessary ornaments, excessive cash, or expensive gadgets; the organizers will not be responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings.
• Damaging fort structures, temple property, village property, plucking flowers, disturbing wildlife, or engaging in activities harmful to the environment is strictly prohibited and may lead to legal action.
• Travel and medical insurance are strongly encouraged for all participants and should be valid for the duration of the trip.
• The booking amount is non-refundable if the participant cancels the booking for any reason, including personal or medical circumstances.
• Every event operates with a minimum of 12 confirmed participants; if this number is not met, we may offer an alternate trek, reschedule to the next available batch, or provide a full refund as per the situation.
• Our experiences are designed to offer authentic outdoor adventure in the Sahyadris; hence, luxury amenities are not part of the package.
• Meals served during the event will be as mentioned under the itinerary and inclusions.
• A dedicated WhatsApp coordination group will be created 6–12 hours before departure for sharing updates, pickup details, and on-ground communication.
• Pickup points and timings may be changed by Adventure Club Pune in case of unforeseen circumstances such as heavy traffic, vehicle issues, or operational adjustments; participants will be informed in advance whenever possible.
• Itinerary and schedule are subject to change depending on weather conditions, roadblocks, safety concerns, or any other unavoidable factors; the organizer’s decision in such cases will be final.

Health & Fitness Declaration

By registering for this trek, participants confirm that:

• They are voluntarily participating in the event.
• They are physically and mentally fit for trekking activities.
• They do not suffer from any medical condition that may endanger themselves or other participants.
• They will disclose any relevant medical condition, allergy, injury, or medication requirement before the trek.
• They understand that trekking involves physical exertion and outdoor environmental risks.

Participant Consent & Assumption Of Risk

By registering for this trek, participants acknowledge that trekking, fort exploration, temple visits, transportation, and associated outdoor activities involve inherent risks that cannot be completely eliminated, including the possibility of serious injury, illness, property damage, or death.

Participants voluntarily assume all such risks, whether known or unknown, foreseeable or unforeseeable, associated with participation in the event.

Participants further acknowledge that Adventure Club Pune, its directors, employees, trek leaders, volunteers, coordinators, local guides, transport providers, contractors, subcontractors, and associated service providers shall not be held responsible for incidents arising from natural hazards, participant negligence, failure to follow instructions, weather conditions, acts of third parties, or circumstances beyond reasonable control.

Travel & Medical Insurance

• Participants are strongly encouraged to obtain suitable travel, medical, and personal accident insurance coverage before joining the trek.
• Unless specifically mentioned under inclusions, Adventure Club Pune does not provide individual insurance coverage.
• Any expenses relating to medical treatment, evacuation, hospitalization, transportation, insurance claims, or personal emergencies shall be borne by the participant and/or their insurer.

Weather, Natural Conditions & Force Majeure

Adventure Club Pune reserves the right to modify, postpone, reroute, reschedule, or cancel the trek in the interest of participant safety.

Such decisions may arise due to:
