Overview

Brahmatal Trek is a scenic Himalayan trek in Uttarakhand known for its beautiful alpine landscapes, oak and rhododendron forests, high-altitude meadows, frozen lakes during winter, and spectacular views of Mt. Trishul and Mt. Nanda Ghunti. The trek reaches approximately 3,750 m / 12,300 ft and is graded Easy to Moderate, making it suitable for beginners with good physical fitness as well as experienced trekkers.

The route takes you through peaceful forest trails, Gujreni, Tilandi Top, Jhandi Top and the Brahmatal summit, offering panoramic Himalayan views throughout the journey.

Day 1 | Rishikesh – Lohajung

Drive: 250 km | Approx. 10 hrs

  • Scenic drive through the Himalayan valleys.
  • Reach Lohajung and check in at the basecamp.

Day 2 | Lohajung – Gujreni

Altitude: 2,800 m / 9,200 ft
Trek: 4–5 km | Approx. 5 hrs

Day 3 | Gujreni – Tilandi

Brahmatal involves forest trails, steep sections, uneven terrain, snow/ice during winter, cold temperatures and high-altitude walking. Participants acknowledge these inherent outdoor risks and agree to follow all safety instructions.

Rules & Regulations

The standard Adventure Club Pune Himalayan trek rules you provided can remain applicable, including:

  • Consumption of alcohol, smoking, or any intoxicating substances is strictly prohibited throughout the expedition. Any participant found under the influence will be removed from the trek without refund.
  • Participants must respect the Himalayan environment, local culture, villages, and fellow trekkers at all times.
  • Littering is strictly prohibited. Carry back all non-biodegradable waste and help preserve the pristine Himalayan ecosystem.
  • Loud music, shouting, or creating disturbances at campsites, villages, temples, or forest areas is not permitted.
  • Participants must strictly follow the instructions and decisions of the Trek Leader and local guide. Their decision regarding safety and itinerary shall be final.
  • Certain sections of the trek involve steep climbs, rocky ridges, exposed mountain terrain, and high-altitude walking. Participants are expected to exercise caution and take responsibility for their personal safety.
  • Any misconduct, harassment, abusive behaviour, or actions affecting the safety or comfort of other participants will result in immediate removal from the expedition without refund.
  • Adventure Club Pune provides basic first aid and emergency assistance; however, all expenses related to medical treatment, evacuation, hospitalization, rescue operations, or transportation shall be borne by the participant.
  • Participants are advised not to carry expensive jewellery or unnecessary valuables. The organizer shall not be responsible for any loss, theft, or damage.
  • Damaging campsite equipment, forest property, local village property, or disturbing wildlife is strictly prohibited and may invite legal action.
  • Travel and medical insurance covering high-altitude trekking is strongly recommended for all participants.
  • The booking amount is non-refundable if cancelled by the participant unless covered under the official cancellation policy.
  • Every expedition operates with a minimum of 12 confirmed participants. If the minimum number is not achieved, Adventure Club Pune may offer an alternate departure, reschedule the batch, or provide a refund as applicable.
  • Himalayan trekking camps are basic mountain camps and are not comparable to hotel or resort accommodations.
  • Meals served during the expedition are simple, nutritious, freshly prepared, and suitable for trekking conditions.
  • A dedicated WhatsApp coordination group will be created approximately 24–48 hours before departure for important updates and coordination.
  • Pickup points, reporting times, or transportation schedules may change due to operational requirements. Participants will be informed in advance whenever possible.
  • The itinerary is subject to change depending on weather conditions, snowfall, landslides, road closures, government regulations, altitude-related safety concerns, or other unavoidable circumstances.

Health & Fitness Declaration

Travel & Medical Insurance

Comprehensive travel, medical and personal accident insurance covering high-altitude trekking is strongly recommended.

Unless specifically included in the package, Adventure Club Pune does not provide individual insurance. Medical treatment, evacuation, rescue, hospitalization and related expenses remain the responsibility of the participant and/or insurer.

Weather & Force Majeure

The trek may be modified, postponed, rerouted or rescheduled due to:
