Overview

The Hampta Pass Trek is one of the most spectacular crossover treks in the Indian Himalayas, connecting the lush green valleys of Kullu with the barren landscapes of Lahaul & Spiti. This trek offers an incredible transformation in scenery as you walk through dense pine forests, alpine meadows, glacier streams, wildflower valleys, rocky mountain passes, and snow-covered landscapes before descending into the dramatic cold desert of Spiti.

Standing at an altitude of 14,065 ft, Hampta Pass is an ideal Himalayan trek for beginners looking to experience high-altitude trekking. Along the way, trekkers camp beside crystal-clear rivers, cross exciting river streams, walk on snow patches (depending on the season), and witness breathtaking Himalayan panoramas. The journey concludes with a scenic drive to the mesmerizing Chandratal Lake, one of the most beautiful high-altitude lakes in India.
